Connected via the Meta Graph API alongside Facebook (Instagram Business and Creator accounts only). Daily reach, engagement, reel performance, story metrics, follower growth — lined up against signups in the same heatmap.

What we pull

  • Account reach and impressions — daily snapshot
  • Profile visits and website taps
  • Post-level reach, likes, saves, comments, shares
  • Reel plays, accounts engaged, reel-specific engagement breakdown
  • Story metrics where the API exposes them (impressions, reach, exits, reply count)
  • Follower count, daily growth, follower demographics (top cities, age, gender — where available)

No write scopes. We never post on your behalf, never message anyone, never modify your settings.

Sync frequency

Same daily 06:00 SAST sync as Facebook. Backfill window matches tier. Instagram Insights data is currently retained by Meta for ~24 months — Kanvro keeps full history within that window subject to your tier's retention.

What we don't include

  • Personal Instagram accounts — Meta only exposes the API for Business and Creator accounts.
  • DMs / inbox — Kanvro does not read direct messages.
  • Story Highlights metrics (Meta does not expose Highlight-specific insights).
  • Posting, scheduling, replying to comments, or reel creation. Kanvro is read-only.
  • Shopping / commerce metrics, product tagging analytics.

Notes

  • Instagram Business or Creator must be linked to a Facebook Page that the user admins. The Facebook OAuth flow handles both connections in one step.
  • If your client uses a Personal account, they'll need to switch to Business or Creator (free, takes 1 minute) before Kanvro can connect.

FAQ

Does Kanvro work with multiple Instagram accounts per client?
One Instagram account per client connection currently. If a client runs multiple brand accounts, they go in as separate clients.
Are Reels treated separately from posts?
Reels are tagged separately in the dashboard so you can sort by media type and see whether your client's reel strategy is actually driving signups versus their feed posts.
How fresh is the data?
Same as Facebook: daily 06:00 SAST sync. The dashboard refresh button forces an on-demand pull if you need fresher data for a meeting.
What's the deal with Story metrics?
Stories disappear after 24h, so Kanvro pulls Story insights at sync time and stores the snapshot. If a Story expired before its first sync, we won't have the data.
